Land to be used for Kitchen Garden should be free from pebbles, rocks & bushes

Plotting of Land
Size of plot   -  10 by 10 feet  or
                    -  10 by 15 feet  or
                    -  15 by 15 feet
If more than 1 plot, then distance
between 2 plots - 3 feet
One side of the plot, prepare raised bed(2 feet broad, ½ feet height and length as per available land) for sowing of tuber crops, leafy vegetables and raising of seedlings
On one side, prepare a structure for raising Creepers
Preparation of Amrut water
1 kg fresh cow dung
1 Litre cow urine
100 grams jaggery
10 Litres water
     Mix all the above items in 12 Litres bucket, keep this for 3-4 days and this can be used as Amrut water.
      Mix 1 Litre of Amrut water with 10 Litres of water and make diluted Amrut water. (thus 100 Litres of diluted Amrut water can be prepared)
Land Preparation

Make the soil soft by using appropriate tools.
For 10 x 10 feet plot, add a mixture of 100kgs of small pieces of green and dry grasses, leaves, branches, 10 kgs of Cowdung, 200-300 grams of Ash and 100 grams of Bioculum (Madhyam) and mix it with soil.
Spray 100 Litres of diluted Amrut Water.
After 10 days, re-mix this soil.
After 20 days, fertile land will be ready for sowing vegetable seeds.
Sowing of Seeds
Distance between 2 rows – 2 feet
Distance between 2 plants in a row – 1 feet
All the tuber crops ( onion, carrot, radish) and leafy vegetables (coriander, spinach, methi) should be sown in raised bed
Seedlings (tomato, brinjal, chilly, cabbage, onion and cauliflower) also should be prepared on raised bed. After 30-45 days, seedling should be re-planted, in the other area of plot keeping the distance between plants, as mentioned above.
Vel (creepers) should be sown in one side of the plot and raise them on the structure.
